Applications are now being accepted for a vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Committee - for a term expiring February 28, 20207
The Parks & Recreation Committee consists of five members appointed by the Council for five year terms, expiring on February 28 of each year. The Committee advises the Council in all matters relating to parks and recreation programs and facilities. The Committee also coordinates the annual Vinterfest event. The Committee meets the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers.
Applications are being accepted now for openings on the Tourism Committee.
The Tourism Committee is accepting applications to expand the committee to seven members. All members of the community who have interest in any aspect of drawing visitors to Scandia are encouraged to apply. The Tourism Committee meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month and advises City Council in matters to promote Scandia as a travel destination in ways that enrich community life and bring economic vitality to the City by capitalizing on Scandia’s historic, cultural, art, and environmental assets. The Tourism Advisory Committee meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 4:00 p.m.
